Coryton House is large, elegant, and tranquil: a fabulous house for a celebration or to get your family and friends together for a house party. It sleeps up to 16 in style and comfort, with a huge dining hall which is perfect for a smart dinner party or lengthy lazy lunch.
The house is close to Dartmoor and set on a south-facing hillside in a hidden valley with 5 acres of terraced lawn, garden and woodland. We are in a magnificent setting with glorious wide-ranging views across the valley. There is excellent walking close by, especially on Dartmoor; and cycling, fishing, horse riding, shooting, water sports, all for you and your guests to enjoy. There is good wifi throughout the house (up to 40 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload).
Dining hall, sitting room, large kitchen, 4 double ensuites on the 1st floor, 4 bedrooms, including the “dorm” on the attic floor with 2 further bathrooms.
The History
Coryton House is a Grade II residence, built in 1836 (William IV) as a Rectory and is Elizabethan in style, Georgian in character and Tudor in detail.
Our Prices
The house is available throughout the year to rent for full weeks, for 3-night weekends or for 4 night mid week breaks to suit your requirements.
